The first workshop of #DEMO 1 (Mar Menor Lagoon, Spain) was held in Cartagena, Spain on January 22, 2025. The event brought 14 participants to discuss the urgent need to address nutrient pollution in order to reverse the current state of the Lagoon and propose solutions to improve its environmental health.
The 1st Roundtable Workshop of #DEMO 4 (Thessaly Plain, Greece), held on December 18, 2024, in Larissa, Greece, brought together 68 stakeholders to address nutrient pollution and resource management in the Thessaly Region. The event focused on discussing challenges and proposing solutions for sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation, emphasizing the need for climate-resilient solutions like water-efficient irrigation to support sustainable development in the region.
The first workshop of DEMO #6 (Central Catalonia, Spain) was held in the framework of the Catalan Nutrient Platform, in Vic on December 17, 2024. It brought together 54 stakeholders from the private sector, public administration, academia, and civil society to address nutrient management challenges and co-define sustainable solutions.
On December 16, 2024, 14 stakeholders from different profiles, including public entities, the research community, local farmers’ organizations, and NGOs, came together for the first Co-Creation Workshop of #DEMO 2 (Po River Delta, Italy) in Ferrara, Italy. The attendees discussed the complex issue of nutrient pollution in the Po Delta area and collectively proposed actionable remediation strategies tailored to the specific context of the study area.
The first Roundtable Workshop of DEMO #3 (Axios Basin, Greece) was held on December 10, 2024, in Chalastra, Greece. The event brought together 20 participants to address nutrient pollution and resource management in the Axios River Plain.
The first Roundtable Workshop of #DEMO 5 (Esino Basin, Italy) took place on December 5, 2024, at Riserva Ripa Bianca in the Marche Region, Italy. The workshop brought together 14 stakeholders to discuss nutrient management challenges and co-develop sustainable solutions, focusing on nutrient pollution across agricultural, urban-peri-urban, and natural areas.
